Math 400

I was asked to write an article for a UBC phys newsletter detailing fizz in the past year. I sent them this:

An ode to 400

On a gloomy day of Math 400,
The prof in suit, quite well laundered
Upon his seat, yet he did pondered:
Why all the students sat there, wondered?

The faces contorting, all perplexed
Of the exam he surely just jests.
Maybe it was all a hex?
Or they don't get enough… rest.

These students are all superlative!
The answers should all be formative!
But in their minds were only explicatives
Over the exam's nature: a laxative.

The battle raged on linoleum floor
With pens and pencils scribble of yore,
But all too soon it was no more
As the hands of clock struck four.

The end had come, with heavy silence
We paid our tolls. We paid our penance.
The break awaits, what sweet fragrance…
Till marks release and reveal the violence.

Oh, I didn't even take Math 400 this past term - got by the year before :)

And maybe I'll become regular with my blog again... hah.
